What this site is, how its records are sourced, and how to get a correction made.
PhillyLate publishes public records from Philadelphia in a form people can read without filing a request or learning a data portal.
Editorial rules
- Primary sources only. Every figure traces to a record published by the City of Philadelphia or another named body. The link is on the page.
- Numbers are shown working. Where something is counted or calculated, the method is stated so you can check it.
- Dates and identifiers are kept. A record keeps the city's own date and case number, so it can be matched against the original.
- Corrections in the open. If a page was wrong, the correction is noted on that page rather than swapped in silently.
What this site is not
It is not affiliated with the City of Philadelphia, and it is not a substitute for the official record. Where the two disagree, the city's record is the authority, and that is a bug here.
